little oxford;)

hehehhee...
i haven't updated my blog for a long timee... so i thot.. what the heck!
currently im in the infamous town of oxford... attending a course to learn a hydraulic software which hopefully would be useful for my research... oxford is a really beautiful town but whats more beautiful to me is the outskirts of oxford itself... i've only been here since yesterday but i have mixed feelings about this place and its people... hehehhee.. they are really different from the townspeople where everyone else was busy with their own businesses and cudn't care less about the happenings around them... but then in little oxford as i wud like to call it... everyone i walked passed by seems to at least smiled at you as a greeting or said hi and hello... even the painter i met on the streets ;)... i know its common for the english to be saying hi and hello's in daily lives... but there is this feeling of sincerity that i hadn't felt before... everyone was friendly inclusive of the bus driver! ;)... when travelling alone these things really does matter to you!... hehehehe
the place where im in is about half an hour bus ride from the oxford town itself... it is a really rural area i suppose since it has bus stops made of woods..... i travelled on foot when i initially came here and it did seem scaryyyyy when all the while you walked.... there was only a vast of nothingness.... and no civilisation within your view... at somee point... there was only thick hedges soo tall that you can barely see anything beyond it on either side....
i preserved and walked straight on... despiteee the dreadful feeling of eerienesssss....
anywayss... i had much fun learning the course and travelling to the suburbs alonee.. aahahaha...
this bnb place where im staying is also a very cosy place... the only problem with it was it wasss a little too english in everyway..... and had me thrown off at timess..
heheehhee.. for instance... i hate rose smelling-anything.... and this english bnb room is filled with rose smelling things.. room-spray... potpourri and even the towels smelled of roses... the only place rose-free was the hallway where it was nicely decorated with lavender smelling things!
ahahhahahaha... i seriously felt like sleeping in the hallway:P
next - all the shampoos and conditioner (which by the way they had plenty to chooose from) all smelled of fruits... passion-fruit.. mango.. raspberries... citrus.... ahhahhahahahaha... i really do hateeeee smelling like a walking fruit... oh! i did find one shampoo that didn't smell fruity... but guess what... it smelled like a man.....
since i didn't have much of a choice.... i did the only that seemed right for me then but ended up smelling like a man-coated with raspberry conditioner! ahahahhahaha.... i know.. kill me....
other than that... i was happy... and am happy.. and i am looking forward to tomorrows course to learn how to simulate the entire network system and hopefully get an insight on the relationship between stormwater inlets and surcharge/flooding events..... i can't wait!
nwayss.. here are some pictures of the oxford town itself... i'd love to upload pics of little oxford itself... but i didn't have my camera with me while i walking today... so i'd probably have to give u a glimpse of little oxford next time then ;)... enjoy!
